Mother's Day virtual Prosecco sparkle run, supporting Maggies Cancer Centres.

Pick a date in March to cover a 5 or 10K - your way! How you cover your 5k or 10K is up to you - run it, twirl it, Macarena it, walk it with a Prosecco flute in hand (plastic of course for safety!). Prizes will be given for the craziest & most creative finishes!

HOW IT WORKS / FAQ

How does the run work?
A virtual run simply means you can select any 5km or 10km route - near your home, or your favourite spot perhaps, and use this as your route. When it comes to covering that chosen distance how you chose to do it is entirely up to you! You can run it, walk it, dance it, twirl it, wheelbarrow it! We will have a prize for the craziest / most creative completed distances (picture proof required).

When is it?
You pick your date - anytime in March - the Mother's Day month of course!

Do I have to complete it in 1 go?
We understand that not everyone entering will be able to complete the distance in one go - so this can be split into manageable chunks - so long as the full distance is covered in March 2022

What do I get for entering?
You will receive our stunning finishers medal (shipped in early April, an e-certificate and 10% off our Prosecco Festival online shop.

What about sponsorship?
Please help raise as much as possible for the amazing Maggie's Cancer Centre by asking friends & family to support your attempt. Full instructions to set-up your charity page will be emailed after entry. Every penny of sponsorship raised is all for Maggie's.

Is there a competition element?
Yes! All entrants will be sent a link to confirm they've completed the event, a picture upload area for finishers pictures, and a total money raised box too.
Prizes will be given for:

Most sponsorship raised for Maggie's - A stunning bottle of luxury Bottega Prosecco. The entrant that raises the most in sponsorship for Maggie's will receive a stunning Bottega bottle.

Most creative 5km - We love creative & crazy concepts - so we have a prize for the most creative 5km - this could someone thats danced the Macarena for 5km, dressed in something crazy or wheelbarrowed it!
All entrants will receive 10% off our Prosecco Shop

How do we confirm we've completed the distance / let you know how much we've raised etc
You will be sent a website link to upload all of the information below. You can choose to load this in one go by March 31st 2022, or you can give us a weekly update of fundraising figures for us to update our sponsorship raised leader boards!
Information required will include:

Photo upload (for those entering the creative prize )

Confirmation of distance completion (tick box)

Total funds raised for Maggie's

A link to your fundraising page showing this total for verification with Maggie's.

When will winners be announced?
Cut-off for uploaded information is midnight on March 31st 2022. All links will then be verified. Our leaderboards will then be updated in April. Finisher medals will be shipped at this point too.
